"Due to a number of unresolved issues of concern pertaining to the proposed Bakersfield State Vehicular Recreation Area, California State Parks, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division requests a continuance of not less than 90 days for the agenda item scheduled to be heard by the Board of Supervisors on October 24th.
In particular, further evaluation needs to be completed regarding the potential impacts to public health and safety regarding valley fever. In addition there are other areas of concern including access to the property and the mitigation measures as identified in the Conditional Use Permit.
